At fourteen I began to play guitar, it wasn't until a
little later that I started to write my own music.
When I started writing I would write songs like 12
days, fun pop songs that my friends and I would
sing together just for fun. It took a while for my
true colors to come out in my words and music.
Eventually they did though and that’s what I am
working on now. I didn't start writing with the idea
that I would be a Christian artist it just kind of
happen. As I would write the words I put together
always seemed to have a sort of spirituality to
them. At first I became frustrated with this
because at this time I wasn't associated with the
type of people who wouldn't except this from me. I
was suppose to be writing about parties, drugs,
and bad boyfriends. After a year of so of trouble
and fun I found myself in a place where the only
person I had to turn to was God. My friends were
no longer there for me and alcohol and drugs
couldn't help me get out of what I was in. So I
turned my life over to God, and it has been a
heck of a time getting things right but I'm praying
for the strength to keep at it. Now I play in a
worship band at Mount Paran North Church of
God, and I'm recording with Bob Stewart at ECA
Publishing. It’s an awesome experience and I
can't wait to see where God is going to take me
next.
